  The Small Business Catalogue is a publication prepared by SMIDO with the support of distinguished academics, consultants and SMEs. It is a valuable source of information to both existing and potential entrepreneurs, covering key incentives, support and facilities available to SMEs.

  Guide on the Agro industry
  SMIDO, in collaboration with Shell LiveWIRE, has recently published a guide on the Agro industry. The guide covers key issues in this sector for potential and existing entrepreneurs.

The agro-industrial sector is an important part of the Mauritian economy. The major components of this sector consist of the production of vegetables, fruits, cut flowers and foliage, fish and fish preparations, poultry and dairy products, flour milling, edible oil refining, fruit and vegetable processing. There is still strong potential for growth for both large firms and small and medium enterprises and SMIDO will be pleased to assist SMEs.

  Exporting to the COMESA/SADC countries
  The Mauritius Industrial Development Authority, MIDA, has published a useful guide for Mauritian enterprises wishing to export to the COMESA/SADC countries. The guide aims at sensitizing the Mauritian business community on market opportunities existing in the COMESA/SADC region. An overview of the procedures for export to the region as well as country profiles of selected member states are also included in the publication.
